The rorting Member for Mordialloc, Tim Richardson has broken his promise to St Joseph’s School, dogging them of $3 million in funding in the Budget.
This is all part of Daniel Andrews and Labor’s war on Catholic and Independent schools.
Last year Tim Richardson assured teachers, parents and students at St Joseph’s School in Chelsea that $3 million in funding would be provided in the Budget. This was clearly a lie.
The 2018/19 budget has revealed that there will be no further capital investment for Victorian catholic schools.
Today in Question Time, Shadow Education Minister Tim Smith asked the Minister for Education where in the budget was the funding for the hall or was the promise just another Labor lie?
You simply can’t trust Labor to keep their word.
It’s not surprising when the same rorting MP Tim Richardson who made this promise was founded to have rorted $5,354 from the taxpayer.
Comments attributable to Shadow Minister for Education, Tim Smith:
Daniel Andrews and Tim Richardson have declared a class and values war on the hundreds of thousands of Victorian parents who send their children to Catholic and independent schools.
By shutting out non-government schools like St Joseph’s, the Andrews Government has added to the burden the state school system already faces.
Whether it’s rorting the taxpayer to win elections or cutting promised funds from schools, you simply can’t trust Labor.
Comments attributable to Liberal candidate for Mordialloc, Geoff Gledhill:
St Joseph’s is a wonderful school, with a close knit community. Parents will be rightly upset to find out that Tim Richardson has gone back on his word to provide something vital like a school hall.
